Two pipe bombs exploded outside a house in Armagh and a further two devices were discovered in Rasharkin, Co Antrim overnight.

Police in the North are investigating after two pipe bomb type devices exploded outside a house in Armagh on Tuesday night.

Two pipe bombs exploded outside a house on Windmill Avenue in Armagh causing damage to the front door at around 11.30pm. Three adults who were inside the property at the time were unhurt.

Meanwhile, a security alert in Rasharkin has ended after two viable pipe bombs were recovered in the Moneyleck Park area on Tuesday night.

One device was located on the windowsill outside one property while the second was thrown through a front window.

The PSNI has called for anyone with information to contact the police. The force also said information can be passed anonymously to officers via the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
