Man held after cannabis, cocaine seizure at Co Sligo property

Gardaí find drugs with an estimated street value of €106,000

A man has been arrested in Co Sligo after drugs with an estimated street value of €106,000 were seized at a residential property.

Gardaí from Sligo Garda station searched the property in Collooney at 9pm on Tuesday using a search warrant under Section 26 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977/84.

Cannabis herb, cannabis resin, cannabis jellies and cocaine were seized and will be sent for analysis.

The man arrested during the search is being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
