Man arrested following seizure of suspected cannabis in Galway

A man has been arrested following the seizure of €30,000 worth of suspected cannabis in Galway.

The drugs were discovered during a warrant search of a property in the Knocknacarra area on Tuesday.

It was carried out as part of Operation Tara, targeting drug distribution.

A man aged in his 50s was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at North Western Regional Headquarters in Galway.
