Teenager to appear in court following his arrest at a retail park in Coleraine, Co Derry

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with attempting to possess a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Detectives with the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch charged the boy on Friday.

The teenager was arrested at the Riverside Retail Park in Coleraine, Co Derry, on Thursday.

He will appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning.
