London - A blood-covered attacker repeatedly stabbed former Beatle George Harrison and battered him senseless with a table lamp as the musician's wife defended her husband with a poker, a court heard today.

Oxford Crown Court was told that Michael Abram rampaged through Harrison's mansion on December 30th last year in the belief that he had "mission from God" to murder him. The musician suffered at least 10 stab wounds.
