The National Safety Council has issued fire precautions following the deaths of seven people in fires in the past fortnight

The National Safety Council has issued fire precautions following the deaths of seven people in fires in the past fortnight. The council is particularly concerned about the number of deaths due to domestic fires and advises people to install smoke alarms, fit spark guards to open fires and unplug electrical appliances after use.
