Orders to disconnect water supplies in seven cases were granted to Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council yesterday. Costs and expenses of £300 were also awarded to the council at Dun Laoghaire District Court.

While there were 46 applications for disconnection before the court, 39 householders had agreed arrangements to pay the charges. Mr Michael Hogan, of Dun Laohaire/Rathdown county council, said they intended actively pursuing people who had not paid their water charges in the past year.
