A Website on human rights issues has been opened by the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL). The site (www.iccl.ie) has information on the organisation's policies since its foundation in 1976 on issues such as criminal justice, women's rights, minority and equality issues, Northern Ireland and freedom of expression.
The President, Mrs McAleese, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mrs Mary Robinson, are both former members.
