BRUSSELS - Belgium's painful soul searching over how it allowed a fatal child sex abuse racket to develop within its borders took a new turn yesterday, with abused children addressing an international conference of experts.

King Albert and Queen Paola, along with the Prime Minister, Mr Jean Luc Dehaene, and other senior politicians, listened as children themselves called on their elders to take action against exploitation.
