Wittiest Christmas card to pass Quidnunc's way comes from FG's Michael Ring. With Santa on the front page is a Who Wants to be a Millionaire-type question. It asks: who is the best-known Ring in Ireland: a) The Ring of Kerry; b) The Claddagh Ring; c) A ring fort; or d) Michael Ring? Inside, a chart gives the audience response - 1,000 percent plump for d. Better than one question from the £125,000 list in the Evening Herald on Tuesday, which asked who was the mother of Mary Queen of Scots: a) Catherine of Aragon; b) Jane Seymour; c) Anne of Cleves; or d) Catherine Parr. No marks for saying they are all wrong; it was Mary of Guise.
