LONDON - The British Chancellor, Mr Gordon Brown, yesterday announced an action plan for creating jobs across the Continent, declaring that it was time Britain took a lead in Europe.
Mr Brown said he had written to every finance minister in the EU seeking their support for the plan which he will be putting to their meeting in Luxembourg on Monday. The plan involves creating greater employment opportunities and more labour market flexibility.
