An 11-year-old boy was described as stable in Castlebar general hospital last night after he fell 200 feet yesterday while climbing Croagh Patrick, Co Mayo, and then endured a 2 1/2hour wait for rescue in extremely cold conditions. The boy, who is from Northern Ireland, suffered head and arm injuries, a suspected broken leg and possible neck injuries after he fell while climbing with his father.
