Boy (13) charged with raping child

A 13-year-old Belfast boy has been charged with raping a five-year-old boy in the city.

A 13-year-old Belfast boy has been charged with raping a five-year-old boy in the city.

The teenager, who cannot be identified because of his age, is charged with raping his alleged victim on two occasions this year.

The case was heard yesterday at Belfast Magistrates Court. The boy, who did not appear in court, was granted bail on the condition that he has no contact with other children, will not leave home without a parent or be left home alone.

Further bail conditions stipulate that he is to not allowed to contact his alleged victim or prosecution witnesses.

The boy was ordered to appear again on Monday.
