Woodbridge - A suburban Virginia woman who gained international prominence after cutting off her husband's penis with a knife was charged yesterday with assaulting her mother, police said.
Ms Lorena Gallo, formerly known as Lorena Bobbitt, appeared in court on assault and battery charges for allegedly striking her mother last Friday morning at the home they share in a Washington D.C. suburb, a police spokeswoman, Ms Kim Chinn, said.
