Eating more fruits and vegetables is not just good for your heart and for fighting cancers, their regular consumption is now linked to a reduced risk of stroke. A study of 75,596 women aged between 34 to 59 showed a 30 per cent reduced risk of stroke for big eaters of fruit and veg, according to a report in the current Journal of the American Medical Association.
