A review of a controversial three-year sentence imposed on Stephen Cahoon is to be heard next month. The Court of Appeal in Belfast will consider the Attorney General's conclusion that the sentence was unduly lenient.

Cahoon (27), from Rockview Terrace, Moneymore, Co Derry, was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to a string of attacks on two women in Ballymena, Co Antrim, including his former girlfriend, the mother of his child.
