Amazon is to make a new e-book reader available to international customers, with the global wireless version of its Kindle DX.
Previously only available in a US version, the Kindle DX, which has a 9.7-inch screen, will be available to more than 100 countries for pre-order from today. The device also has extras such as the ability to auto-rotate the screen and can store up to 3,500 books.
The device, which costs $489, displays books, newspapers, magazines, blogs and personal documents using e-ink, which is designed to mimic real paper.
The units will begin shipping on January 19th.
