OVER 400 nurses from Cork and Kerry met at Cork University Hospital in an upbeat mood to consider the implications of the Labour Court's recommendations.
As they filed into the meeting, the nurses, including hospital staff, health care workers and those caring for the mentally ill, said their function was to listen to INO representatives and to make their views known later to the organisation's executive.
Afterwards, Ms Mary Power, spokeswoman for the INO in Cork, said the meeting had been very positive and balanced.
"We had a tremendous turnout, the mood was very strong and people were very focused."
