A 19-YEAR-OLD man was fighting for his life in hospital in Limerick last night following a crash on the outskirts of the city.
Jamie Marshall from Thomondgate in Limerick city was the driver of a car which crashed into a wall shortly before 8pm on Tuesday night at Woodcock Hill near Cratloe.
Three passengers in the car, a man in his early 20s and two teenage girls, suffered minor injuries in the crash.
All four people were taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
A spokesman there said last night that Mr Marshall was in a "critical condition" in the hospital's intensive care unit.
Gardaí from Mayorstone station are investigating the cause of the crash.
The vehicle involved in the crash was removed for further examination and gardaí have asked that anyone with information contact them at Mayorstone on 061-456980.
