SRINAGAR - At least 15 people were injured yesterday in a landmine blast by Muslim rebels in the heart of this Kashmir summer capital ahead of upcoming polls, police said.

They said the explosion occurred late yesterday at Srinagar's central Kawldora quarter near the office of the powerful All Parties Freedom Conference - an amalgam of some 30 Muslim rebel and political groups.
