Nars Laguna Ultimate Face Palette
Nars is still riding the wave of Laguna-themed success, and honestly, who can blame it? One of the most universally loved bronzers has now inspired a range of other make-up products, including the stunning new Ultimate Laguna Palette (€65 from Brown Thomas).
A clever “one and done” palette, Ultimate Laguna features two shade iterations of the aforementioned and much-loved bronzer, one champagne-hued shimmer highlight, and four eyeshadows – ranging from a warm matte brown to a rose gold shimmer. Each shade is intensely pigmented, buttery soft and blends beautifully, regardless of your make-up skill level. Available in two shade options – Light-Medium and Medium-Deep – this beauty is available for a limited time so run, don’t walk.
Chanel No 1 De Chanel Revitalizing Eye Serum
Leave it to Chanel to create a refreshing eye serum that simultaneously delivers a luxurious self-care moment. No 1 De Chanel Revitalizing Eye Serum (€90 from Brown Thomas) features a unique, rotating applicator that allows the lightweight gel-serum to be rolled across the delicate eye area; helping to intensely depuff, cool and hydrate.
Designed to reduce the signs of fatigue and featuring red camellia extract, the brand’s powerful signature ingredient, this is a restorative, opulent product that you’ll want to use more than twice a day.
Poco Beauty Cheek Haze
New launches are coming thick and fast from Poco Beauty, the noteworthy brand founded by Pippa O’Connor at the end of 2023. One of its latest offerings is Cheek Haze (€23 from pocobeauty.com), a collection of five vibrant blushes with a unique formula. At first glance and touch, they appear to be powder, but with the first swipe, a soft, smooth cream emerges that delivers a stunning flush of colour on the high points of the cheeks. The shades span a kaleidoscope of wearable colours, from Azalea Bloom (my personal favourite), a bright blue-toned pink, to Wild Cosmos, a bright pastel coral.
Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid Eau De Parfum
The first word that sprang to mind upon getting a whiff of Gucci’s new fragrance, Gorgeous Orchid Eau De Parfum (€116 for 50ml from Boots), was “delicious”. It’s fresh, sweet and utterly beguiling – like your favourite dessert captured in an exquisitely packaged fragrance. Bursting with notes of creamy vanilla intertwined with cool, aquatic, ozonic tones, this is the fresh and arguably yummy take that Gucci’s iconic collection of floral gourmand fragrances needed. If you love powdery, sugar-laden scents with a fresh vanilla finish, you will love this.
Pixi Beauty On-The-Glow Superglow Highlighter
Another brand known for frequent launches is Pixi Beauty. Several new products have crossed my desk over the past few months, but one stood out on first use: Pixi On-The-Glow Superglow Highlighter (€23.50 from Boots). Quick and easy to use and housed in clever, twist-up packaging, these highlighter sticks are fun and user-friendly. Simply swipe them on to your cheeks, cupid’s bow, and high points of your face to add a non-sticky, light-catching glow. Two shades are available: Original and Rose Gold.
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Oil
To celebrate Fenty Beauty’s launch at Brown Thomas, the brand has introduced a limited edition collection called Bronze All Ova. Among its offerings is one of the most glorious lip oils I have ever had the pleasure of using. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Oil (€24 from Brown Thomas) is a gel-oil hybrid that drenches the lips in non-sticky moisture, leaving behind an intensely glossy, glazed finish that smells like coconuts – exactly what I want from a lip oil. Even better, it doesn’t disappear a minute after application. Available in three shimmering shades. My favourite is Supafine Suga – a sheer, glistening gold.
This week I’m loving... Poco Beauty Skin Flood Plumping Ceramide Water
Another recent launch from Poco Beauty, this time in the skincare category. Skin Flood Plumping Ceramide Water (€36 from pocobeauty.com) is a Korean-inspired essence that helps to support the skin barrier and boost moisture levels. Pat it into the skin after cleansing, then follow with your regular skincare products. It’s a great addition to any routine, particularly for those with dry or dehydrated skin.
