CLOTHES LINES:Dyeing clothes has become incredibly easy in these thrifty times and the newest Dylon dyes don't need weighing and adding salt like before - you just empty the contents into the washing machine, add the dry clothes to be dyed, and away you go.

The only disadvantage is that it takes three 40-degree washing cycles to complete the process - the first with the dye, the second with washing powder and the third with detergent again - to clean the machine. A 400g sachet costs €6.99.
