With a projected growth in the population from 10,000 to 25,000 by the year 2007, the purpose of Expo is to allow investors, developers, employers and the public view proposed plans for the expansion of infrastructure and services in Balbriggan.

Exhibitors - who will include developers and service providers - will display plans and models detailing their role in the development of Balbriggan, which has been targeted as one of the major growth areas in Leinster between 2000 and 2010. There will be speakers from various bodies including Donogh McGowan, president of the Balbriggan and District Chamber of Commerce, Mark Walshe from Fingal County Council, who will give an outline of Balbriggan's Integrated Development Framework, Michael Mackeray of the Dublin Transport office, Brendan Butler of IBEC and Conor Skehan, environmental and planning consultant.
