WHILE MANY agents are scaling down operations or relying on lettings, the news that estate agent Owen Reilly has opened a second branch in Milltown, Dublin 6 is good news for the industry.
Reilly, arguably the king of the docklands apartment market in Dublin, is now looking for a slice of the Dublin 6 market, which has been relatively active of late.
He might have a problem finding enough properties to fill his books, however.
There’s currently a shortage of three- and four-bedroom family homes in the area, and we’ve been hearing reports of huge turnouts for viewings of redbricks in areas such as Ranelagh, Rathmines and Milltown, which are in demand with trader-uppers.
