New homes schemes in commuter towns

Counties Kildare, Meath and Wicklow continue to be in huge demand from people working in the capital

After 18 months working from home and eating, living and sleeping in the same space, many people are looking forward to returning to the office. In Dublin’s outer suburbs, peripheral towns and commuter counties – such as Kildare, Meath and Wicklow – there are many new homes on offer that may enable people to redefine the way they live.

Co Kildare

Oldtown Woods, in the heritage town of Celbridge, is a large development of family homes, with 30 three- and four-bed houses launching later this year.

In Newbridge, on the banks of the Liffey, people who buy houses in the Ballymore development at Station Walk will be 10 minutes on foot from the train station. On the outskirts of the town, Glenveagh Properties is bringing up to 40 houses to Belin Woods next year.

In Kildangan, Harristown Drive comprises 22 units. Eight two- and three-bed bungalows, ideal for traders-down, will be ready for completion in mid-November.

Co Meath

DNG is currently selling three-beds off plans at Ringfort, in Rathmoylon, Co Meath.

Co Wicklow

In Greystones, some of the nine sizeable four-beds, built by Durkan’s, at Sillan, Church Lane in the heart of the village, may be finished by November, with no pricing in place yet. And phase two of the Durkan-built Vartry Wood in Ashford, will launch at the end of September.
