New mobile app makes Property Price Register information more accessible

Cian Muldoon has developed a new mobile app for Android, BlackBerry and Kindle

The new app will be a welcome service for anyone viewing houses for sale who wants to see what comparable properties in the area have sold for

The introduction of the Residential Property Price Register (propertypriceregister.ie) has been a godsend for property buyers and sellers who previously had no way of accurately establishing the purchase price of second-hand properties. For those looking to buy, it’s now an essential intelligence gathering tool but innovations around the database technology have been non-existent. Property portals such as Daft and MyHome provide access to the register information from their websites, but to date there has been no mobile offering. Until now, that is.

Reader Cian Muldoon became frustrated with the website's limitations while house hunting, and so has developed a new mobile app for Android, BlackBerry and Kindle to make Property Price Register information more accessible while on the move. And it works very well indeed. It's available to download from Google Play (play.google.com) and will be a welcome service for anyone viewing houses for sale who wants to see what comparable properties in the area have sold for.

It’s the second app Muldoon has developed – his previous app tracked real time Bus Éireann information. “I’m looking at buying a house and couldn’t find an app that provided the functionality I require so I decided to build this.

“I think it gives you a real advantage when you start negotiating to have this information to hand.”

It certainly enhances the experience for users of the valuable Property Price Register data.
