FAST-FOOD chain McDonalds has failed to secure planning permission for a drive-through restaurant adjacent to the new Blanchardstown shopping centre. An Bord Pleanala has confirmed Fingal County Council's decision to refuse approval for the restaurant on what it terms a "restricted site" near a major roundabout. McDonalds will still have an outlet near the main entrance to the shopping centre.
