Around the block: One Direction’s Harry Styles buys LA pad for $4 million

There’s a lot to be said for a good manager and a gravity-defying hairstyle, it would seem. One Direction singer Harry Styles’s notorious bad-boy-next-door reputation doesn’t seem to have impeded his latest purchase of a swanky five-bed bachelor pad compound in Beverly Hills for $4 million.

According to the Real Estalker blog (the go-to blog for all celebrity property moves) the 20-year-old bought the property in trust in late February.

The glass and wood house was originally built in 1967 and later reworked by Colombian contemporary architect Alejandro Ortiz and is believed to cover about 3,000 sq ft (278m sq) of space including a guest quarters and three-car garage.

The rumour mill is working overtime because Styles' new home is also located a short distance from the home of Kendall Jenner – the latest celebrity beauty the singer has been linked with. The pair have been spotted out and about, most recently in New York at the end of February.
