GANLY Walters is quoting £70,000-plus for 46 acres of rough mountainside land at Shielmartin Mountain, Howth, Co Dublin which is to be sold by tender at the end of May. The land, which overlooks Dublin Bay, has been owned for over 80 years by the Pile estate, which recently secured £204.000 at auction for an adjoining six acre site on Carrickbrack Road. The 46 acres is zoned as high amenity land and there is a public right of wad through it to the summit of the mountain where there is an ancient cairn. Most of the remaining land on Shielmartin Mountain is owned and used by Howth Golf Club.
