SATURDAY Today is the last day to prove your film knowledge in the Stella Artois Mystery Movie Competition. The prize is a weekend in Galway in October for the Stella Artois Screen Tour.

SUNDAY Get all shook up at the Emerald anniversary of Elvis's death - he died 27 years ago on Monday - with a special Sunday Roast night at Spy nightclub at the back of the Powerscourt Townhouse in Dublin. Paying tribute to the King will be Chuzzle, Steve Wall, Colm Querney and Shay Cotter. There will be free roast potatoes and assorted board games on offer. 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Admission free.

MONDAY The Olympics are in full swing today with action from Athens. You can do a bit of flag-waving for Irish team member 25-year-old Emma Robinson from Ballymoney as she goes for glory in the first round of the 100-metre breaststroke.

TUESDAY Arranging for the kids to meet a boyband should chalk up a fair few parental brownie points. Irish combo D-Side launches the new hand-held DVD player VideoNow and will be available to sign autographs, demonstrate the gadget and generally melt hearts at Smyth's Toy Superstore in Jervis Street Dublin at 11 a.m.

WEDNESDAY Bazaart is a random concoction of new student artwork with painting, sculpture, video, drawing, photography and much more on show at The Office of Public Works, 51 St Stephen's Green until August 26th. THURSDAY It's got to be perfect when Eddie Reader and her band take to the stage at the National Concert Hall in Dublin tonight as part of the ESB Beo Celtic Music Festival. The former Fairground Attraction singer is always worth a listen. Tickets €20/€25 from 01-4170000.

FRIDAY Tullamore Phoenix Festival is an action-packed shindig where you can do everything from watching David Kitt (Bridge House, 11 p.m., Sunday, Tickets €20) to trying your hand at Hot Air Ballooning and Sky Diving (today from 6.30 p.m. weather permitting).
