Mella O Brolchain’s hip belt is a safe bet

Mella O Brolchain’s hip belt to accommodate phone, wallet and keys, a “muck resistant” mini skirt and cowl are just some of the practical but stylish items in her Tramps Outdoor clothing range designed for Irish weather conditions. The belt is a nifty take on a tool belt that sits on the hip like a holster and the mini skirt can be worn with leggings. O Brolchain is a graphic and web designer and soi disant builder and gardener. When a friend made a skirt and leggings out of recycled canvas chairs, it inspired her to set up a clothing range suited to the Irish climate. The designer launched her label with help from Harness Creativity and exhibits it at Showcase this month. See her web video on Vimeo.
