What's on your rider? Wallis Bird

What’s on your rider? The usual – lots of water, a few towels, hookers, drugs and vegan food (Rock and Rollerblades!).

What would be on your fantasy rider?I heard some bands ask for their very own portaloo at a festival. Essentials first!

What's your pre-gig routine?Trying to explain it might sound silly. My band and I relax and warm up for 20 minutes, then stand in a close circle and do our "Gilly Gillies", whereby we rub each other's backs, tickle each others chins, then clap furiously shouting "Good gig, good gig, good gig, good gig!". Then we breathe and walk to the stage.

How do you get to the gig?The easiest way possible. Taxi, car, van, bike, walk – we don't mind as long as we get there.

What's the best gig you've been to?Seasick Steve, Lattitude 2008. The man is an effortlessly pure musician and performer. After being bombarded by same-style-bands, one after the other, it was great when he came on and just let rip with a three-stringed guitar and an instrument he made that was basically a plank of wood with a string and a pickup.

And the worst? My only bad gigs were when a rough fight broke out or they mimed or something. I enjoy other people's music so I try to look for the positive in anyone's gig.

Ecologically speaking, are you closer to Radiohead or Motörhead? We try our best to be Radiohead.

Who is the most famous person to have shown up at one of your gigs?A few, but without being rude to these people, I don't class my gigs by who "famous" comes to them.

Most embarrassing on-stage moment?I was the third song into my set and was buck leaping around, really enjoying myself. Then my pants split clean right down the front from the top button to the arse. I had no spare pants. I had the rest of the gig to get through. No other choice . . . duct tape. My drummer Christian applied the tape and we all got a good laugh out of it.

Groupies – would you?Who wouldn't!

Have you a special stage wardrobe? What I was already wearing.
