Stoneware from the Rhineland is the title of a lecture to be given next Thursday evening at the University of Limerick as part of the Friends of the Hunt Museum series of talks.
Professor Colin Townsend, Dean of Humanities at the university, will give the lecture. He has lectured extensively on the subject and was invited to survey the ceramic finds from the 16th century ship, Mary Rose when it was raised from the seabed near Portsmouth. The lecture will be given in the Schuman Building and will begin at 8 p.m.
