Jak and Daxter make it to the PS Vita with a trilogy that might just win over a few new players. The game includes Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II: Renegade and Jak 3 all in one, so you get plenty of bang for your buck. It's a port of the PS2 classics, so fans of the original series might get something out of the mobile version. It's platform action at its best, and with the trilogy in hand, you get to see just how Naughty Dog has evolved the series. The Vita version gets a few extras. But on the whole it stays true to the originals. There is some use of the touch pad controls, for example, but it doesn't feel as natural as it should. The quality of the three titles also varies in terms of visuals. The problems occur with frame rates, particularly in the first title, leaving players frustrated. An old favourite on a new platform that could have been so much more than what it is.
