Do you want another reason to hate Twitter? Well, here’s one. Apparently, Hollywood studios don’t want their talent blabbing incessantly about upcoming films on the annoying social-networking service.
The Hollywood Reporter
has seen a recent contract from Disney that prohibits stars from revealing sensitive information via “interactive media such as Facebook, Twitter or any other interactive social network or personal blog”.
“This is just the beginning,” an entertainment lawyer actually said (rather than tweeted). “Hollywood has a long history of controlling what talent says in the media. This is just a new area of media that hasn’t been controlled yet.”
