A 60-year-old man has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the deaths of two teenagers who were travelling to their debs ball in Co Monaghan.
Kiea McCann (17) and her best friend Dlava Mohammed (16), died when the car they were travelling in crashed into a tree on the N54 at Legnakelly on July 31st, 2023.
The car was driven by Anthony McGinn, who has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing their deaths.
McGinn, of Drumloo, Newbliss, Co Monaghan was also charged with dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm to Avin Mohamed, a sister of Dlava.

At a sitting of Monaghan Circuit Court on Tuesday, McGinn pleaded guilty to both charges.

Judge John Aylmer remanded McGinn on continuing bail and a probation report was also ordered.
McGinn is due to be sentenced at a later date.
