The price?

The price?

Between £2.64 and £3.27 (€3.34 and €4.15), the final price and allocations to be decided on July 7th.

How many shares?

A minimum of 432 million shares or 40 per cent of the total offering are being offered to retail investors in Ireland and a similar amount to institutional investors. How the remaining 216 million shares (20 per cent) are split between retail and institutional investors will be decided at the end of the roadshow to institutional investors.

How many can be bought?

Retail investors can buy a minimum of £250 and a maximum of £100,000.

The timing?

Mini-prospectus and application forms will be sent out to those who registered over the next three days. Retail investors then have until Wednesday June 30th to return completed application forms plus payment by post or to marked collection boxes in AIB branches. Payment can be made by cheque, bankers draft, direct debit, postal or money order.

Bonus shares?

To encourage investors to hold on to their Telecom shares, one bonus share for every 25 held will be awarded to all retail investors who retain their shares until July 7th, 2000.

How can I hold my shares?

Either through a personal share certificate or through the Telecom Eireann Nominee Account.

For the latter, statements detailing shares owned will be sent out on or around July 14th.
