Three Ireland says it won’t introduce UK roaming charges

Three Ireland said it won't reintroduce roaming charges for customers visiting the UK, regardless of the deal the UK strikes on leaving the European Union.

The mobile operator, which has 2.2 million customers, said keep its current mobile phone roaming arrangements for its customers when they visit the UK, regardless of whether it is a No Deal or negotiated Brexit.

"Brexit is causing a lot of uncertainty in Ireland amongst businesses and consumers," said Three Ireland chief executive Robert Finnegan. " The reintroduction of roaming charges is a real concern especially for those living in border areas and for customers who travel regularly to the UK."

Three UK is operating the same arrangement for its customers.
