Say goodbye to prying social networks with Ello

If you subscribe to the theory that if you're not paying for it you are, in fact, the product, then perhaps Ello's manifesto will appeal to you. Those who have shunned the ad-tracking of Facebook and co are being targeted by this (fairly) new social network. Ello is all minimalist chic and stripped back retro typography, so it will come as no surprise that it was created by a group of artists and designers. But this is still the internet and services still want behavioural data so Ello uses "a special anonymized version of Google Analytics to collect visitor data", which you can opt out of.
