Microsoft asks customers: WaaS up?

Last week was a milestone for Microsoft, and not just because it announced Windows 10 or even the HoloLens demonstration, which made the Back to the Future naysayers eat their shorts. A hoverboard prototype (we covered that on Web Log last year) currently exists and now we have McFly's entertainment headset!

All that awesomeness aside, WaaS, or Windows as a Service, is pretty significant in terms of delivering a unified operating system that updates in the background and gives a consistent experience across all platforms. And Windows 10 is free for current PC or mobile users as long as they update within the year.
