Ikea Starkvind air purifier: Bringing top air quality to the table

Ikea has a good line in home furnishings that double-job. There are its tables that have wireless charging built in, for example. Or the recently launched artwork that hides a wireless speaker. Now there is the Starkvind, a table that is also a smart air purifier.

Available from October, the air purifier has five different fan speeds, an auto mode, and the ability to connect to the Tradfri gateway so you can control it from your phone.

It has a three-filter system, removing larger particles such as dust, smaller airborne particles such as pollen, and a filter for gas cleaning that absorbs pollutants such as formaldehyde and other volatile organic compounds. With all the current attention on air quality, Ikea may have a popular product on its hands.
