Want to nurture your child's interest in coding and robotics? Then Koov is a fun way to get started. Sony's kit, currently part of a US-focused Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, includes blocks, sensors, actuators and an app that brings your child's creation to life. The brightly coloured blocks snap together like toy blocks – more Lego than Duplo, but then this is aimed at children aged about eight and older – and allow your child to let their imagination run free, with seven types of blocks in seven colours. The creations can then be shared with other Koov users around the world. The drawback? We'll have to wait for Sony to bring it to Europe.
