Danuta Gray, the former head of O2 Ireland has been appointed to the board of British property company St Modwen.
From October 1st this year, Ms Gray will join as a non-executive director and chairwoman-designate in preparation for the handover of the chairmanship at the end of March next year.
The company's current chairman, Bill Shannon, will step down at the next annual general meeting (agm), scheduled for March 29th, 2019.
Ms Gray sits on a number of boards, including Direct Line Insurance Group, Aldermore Group, Old Mutual and on the defence board of the UK ministry of defence.

Up to 2012 Ms Gray was the chief executive of O2 in the Republic, having started in that role in 2001. She has previously served on a number of Irish boards, including Aer Lingus, Irish Life and Permanent and Paddy Power Betfair.
St Modwen has a £1.7 billion portfolio of more than 100 projects, including the regeneration of New Covent Garden Market in London.
