Dublin Chamber members aim to raise €25,000 in charity cycle

Some 36 members of Dublin Chamber of Commerce hope to raise €25,000 from the organisation's fourth charity cycle across France from Biarritz on the Bay of Biscay to Narbonne on the Mediterranean coast.

The chamber has nominated Dublin Simon as this year’s charity. The organisation has already raised more than €16,000 and now hopes to overtake its previous target of €20,000 and collect €25,000.

Participants include Greg Clarke of Digicom, who initiated the fundraiser in 2015, past presidents Brendan Foster of Grant Thornton, PJ Timmins, consultant and former chief executive of Clery's, and Liam Kavanagh, managing director of The Irish Times.

Other participants from the business world include Mary McKenna of Tour America; Joanne Hession of Entrepreneurs Academy; Larry Bass of Shinawil; Barry O'Sullivan from Dragons' Den; and Adie McGennis of Sigmar.
