A unit of the Rehab group lost a contract worth an annual €1 million earlier this year, it has emerged. Rehab Enterprises, which has activities in recycling and logistics, reported the loss of a “substantial” unspecified contract in accounts newly filed for 2013.

This division of Rehab had a turnover of €19.99 million last year and it incurred a pretax loss of €143,000. Rehab was embroiled in political controversy for months earlier this year, prompting the departure of its then chief Angela Kerins. A Rehab spokesman declined to identify who cancelled the contract.

“The customer in question is a multinational company, to which Rehab provided a logistics and storage service,” he said. “There has been a termination of contract as described in the accounts, and Rehab Enterprises is actively seeking to replace that business.”
