AIB group
21.4 per cent share of non-resident deposit market.
May owe between £25 million and £35 million in DIRT payments due on bogus accounts.
Bank of Ireland group
18.65 per cent of non-resident deposit market.
May owe £1 million. As of July the matter was still being discussed with the Revenue.
ACCBank
2.49 per cent of non-resident deposit market.
Bank has suggested a liability of £1.4 million (including interest) and has made a voluntary interim payment of £1.349 million. Revenue are considering bank's calculation and awaiting completion of a full DIRT audit.
Ulster Bank
3.46 per cent of non-resident deposit market.
Most pessimistic figure from the bank's financial controller was a DIRT liability of £900,000.
NIB
2.02 per cent of non-resident deposit market.
Bank has made a without prejudice offer of £417,915. No settlement agreed as of July 1st 1999. Bank has made a provision of £1 million.
Irish Permanent
10.62 per cent of non-resident deposit market.
