A glitch whereby some Ulster Bank customers were affected by a delay in payments being made has been resolved.
The bank said on Friday morning that a delay in “payment files” had led to the problem, but it confirmed this evening that the payments in question had now been made.
“We apologise for this delay and if any customer has any queries, we encourage them to get in touch with us,” the bank said, pointing customers to its helpline on 1850 - 424 365.
It is understood that the problem affected some, rather than all, Ulster Bank payments on Friday morning and that no customer will be out of pocket as a result of the delay.
