Court official may submit Seán Dunne family documents

US judge allows move

A US judge has permitted a court official to submit family law documents in private as part of his challenge to stop property developer Seán Dunne withdrawing his US bankruptcy case.

The Connecticut bankruptcy court, in agreement with Mr Dunne's lawyers, has allowed his bankruptcy trustee Richard Coan to file court documents "under seal" relating to an Irish family law case involving the Co Carlow businessman and his first wife, Jennifer Coyle.

Judge Alan Shiff was told that the trial to decide whether Mr Dunne could pull his US bankruptcy should last a day. It has been scheduled for December 3rd. Judge Shiff set November 14th as the deadline for discovery.

Nama has objected to Mr Dunne's application and Ulster Bank, another creditor, has until September 30th to outline its objections.
