Bank of Ireland has purchased Compaq AlphaServers, a systems software and consulting package, for its new profitability systems. Compaq stated that AlphaServers was designed to help improve profitability management through the analysis of large amounts of data quickly. The package determines local market profitability; product, sector, channel and unit profitability; and how effectively customers are using new and existing delivery channels.
