IT infrastructure services provider Kyndryl has teamed up with multi-cloud data management company Veritas Technologies in a global partnership that that will help enterprises protect and recover critical data across different cloud environments, guarding against cyber attacks and ransomware.
The deal will see Kyndryl will provide Veritas’ data management portfolio to its enterprise customers as a managed service. It will expand Kyndryl’s capabilities into new markets and industries, and further extend its ecosystem strategy that has contributed to increased growth in signings of 27 per cent in the first quarter.
The combined operations of the two companies will help to address the challenges facing businesses, such as the threat of cyberattacks and ransomware. The partnership allows Kyndryl to extend its cyber resiliency services and solutions, including zero trust services such as identity and access management and data protection; incident recovery services such as hybrid platform recovery; and advanced threat detection, response and forensics.

Kyndryl was spun out of IBM when the tech giant separated its infrastructure services business from its remaining units. The separation was completed in November last year. The company designs, builds, and manages critical information systems, working with more than 4,000 customers in 60 countries around the world.
The company employs more than 90,000 people, and has operations in Ireland.
